The hall is built of peeled split timber with a huge stone fireplace. The walls of the lodge are adorned with interesting collections of pictures and photographs.
Also on the ground is an unusual landmark. A cedar tree measuring 20 feet in diameter was cut to be sent to the 1900 Worlds Fair. It was not sent and instead was set up behind the Olympic Hotel and used as a photographers gallery. In 1934, the tree was moved to its present location in Pioneer Park.
