Tonasket

Nestled in the Okanogan River Valley, the town of Tonasket, named after the famous Indian, Chief Tonasket, was originally an Indian encampment. In 1888, a trading post opened, and shortly after, there came a saloon, hotel, store, blacksmith shop, and post office.

Surrounded by scenic beauty, Tonasket is a recreational wonderland and a "land for all season's". The town is situated in along Highway 97 within thirty miles of the Canadian border.
