Antigo is located in
Langlade County (of which it is the county seat) in the
North Region, northeast of
Wausau along US Highway 45 near the Eau Claire River, Menominee Indian Reservation, and Moose Lake. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 8,488, an increase of 204 since 1990.
