Roche-A-Cri State Park was established in 1948. Its name means "crevice in the rock." The main attraction in the park is a 300-foot-high rock outcropping with a wooden stairway to help you reach the top. With 604-acres, the park offers 41 rustic campsites within a forest of large oaks and pines, picnic areas, a lookout tower, a seasonal naturalist program, hiking trails and cross-country ski trails. Carter Creek, which runs throughout the park offers trout fishing. During your visit, take the time to view the Native American petroglyph's and pictographs throughout the park.
