The summit of Terry Peak Ski Area is 7,100 ft. above sea level and is the top show on the snow between the Rockies and the Alps. With 5 lifts throughout the mountain the lift capacity is 19,000 skiers/riders per hour. A variety of trails can be reached, including an all beginner area where lessons are held daily. Terry Peak’s two high-speed quads, the Kussy Express and Surprise Express, take you to the panoramic top and junction point to smooth intermediate runs, the Smith Half-Pipe, and a short traverse to the most difficult and challenging terrain in the hills. Terry Peak is located less than an hour from Rapid City via I-90, then U.S. Highway 85. The slopes are just minutes from the historic towns of Lead and Deadwood.
