Cambrian Mountains

The Cambrian Mountains are the principal mountain range in Wales. They run north-south near the western side of the country. The highest peak is Snowdon.

Relatively small streams flow west out of the Cambrians. Several important rivers have their headwaters in the Cambrians and flow eastward, including the Dee, River Severn, and the Wye.
