The George Borrow Hotel is situated on the main A44 route (Llangurig to Aberystwyth) less than 12 miles from the busy seaside town of Aberystwyth, in the heart of Red Kite country. Nestling in the foothills of the
Cambrian Mountains close to Plynlimon Fawr there can be few hotels in Britain where the rare Red Kite can be seen so readily in its natural habitat. The George Borrow has 9 letting rooms on two floors. All the rooms have hot and cold wash hand basins, tea and coffee making facilities, a colour television and central heating. All of the rooms are en-suite and families are well catered for. Ironing and hair dryers are available from reception if required. There are two bars serving fine ale and good home cooked bar food and, being the village local, you will get to meet some of the regular characters. The 40 seat restaurant provides a full and varied menu with food which is tastefully cooked by the owners.
