Mumbles is the name of a village in Glamorganshire near Swansea. The other name commonly used is Oystermouth, which actually refers to the parish centered on the village. Among the important local points of interest are a medieval church and a castle. The first passenger train in the world ran between Mumbles and Swansea. It was horse drawn on rails and began operation in 1807.
