One hundred feet below the surface is a vast chamber highly decorated with many flowstone formations staying at a constant 52 degrees temperature. The Lewisburg area, containing over a mile of interconnected passages that reach a depth of 235 feet below the natural entrance. In 1970 a steep shaft was dug into the main chamber with a circular stairway leading into the cave, and the cave was renamed LOST WORLD CAVERNS. Featured rooms include: The Castle, a stalagmite which grows one cubic inch every 1 00 to 125 years, Goliath, standing 40 feet tall with 25-foot circumference; Crystal Waterfall and The Pig Tail - One of our most active areas for actual waterfalls; the Snowy Chandelier.
