Big Horn Mountains

If you plan to lose yourself in Wyoming, halfway between Yellowstone National Park and the Black Hills National Forest, this is definitely the place to lose yourself. There are a multitude of winter activities as well, including snowmobiling, downhill skiing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and ice fishing. The nearest towns are Worland and Ten Sleep, and Hwy 16, Cloud Peak Skyway, is another scenic area where you can enjoy Wyoming's "other mountains".
