Uinta County is, basically, the south west corner of Wyoming.
Evanston is the largest town in the county on Hwy 80.
Fort Bridger and
Bear River State Park are two parks located within the county. The Union Pacific Railroad runs through the middle of the county.

The county seat of Uinta County, Wyoming, is Evanston. The county population on July 1, 1999, was 20,288, an increase of 1,583 over the 1990 census.
