Hesperia

Hesperia is in Oceana County, and in the West-Southwest Region. You can locate this community situated on the White River northwest of Fremont at the junction of Hwy 120 and Hwy 20.

The first settler to the area was Booth Perry in 1856. In 1866 Hesperia was platted and John Cook and Dan Weaver constucted a sawmill and a general store here. The town was incorporated as a village in 1883.

Hesperia is supported primarily by local businesses and some tourism, including canoeing and fishing.
