Mt. Pleasant

Mt. Pleasant is located in Charleston County along Highway 17 near the Intracoastal Waterway. Mt. Pleasan is situated across the Cooper River from Sullivan's Island, east of Charleston.

Just minutes from downtown Charleston and the beaches you'll find the quaint, coastal Town of Mount Pleasant. Founded in 1680, historic Mount Pleasant offers plenty to see and do, and is centrally located to everything else in the Lowcountry.

There are many attractions in Mt. Pleasant including the Boone Hall Plantation. Originally a cotton plantation, Boone Hall boasts one of the most majestic avenues of moss draped live oaks in the South. Mt. Pleasant is also home to the Charles Pinckney National Historic Site. The site is the last protected remnant of Snee Farm, the country estate of Charles Pinckney (1754-1824). Pinckney was a statesman, revolutionary war officer, and a principal framer of the US Constitution.
