A living history homestead with a museum, Rika's Roadhouse is a centerpiece of the park and is located on the banks of the
Tanana River. There is a barn, animals, garden and sod-roofed museum. The roadhouse was built in 1910 and operated by a Swedish woman named Rika for years. The roadhouse can be toured and meals are served in the Packhouse Restaurant, along with soups, salads, sandwiches and homemade baked goods from the Alaska Baking Co.
The ten-acre park is located at Milepost 275 on the Richardson Hwy, an important crossroads on the Fairbanks-Valdez trail. There are RV camping sites with picnic area, restrooms, and showers.
