Sitka Historical Society, located in the Centennial Bldg in downtown Sitka, has permanent displays showing the history of Sitka. The museum features an eight foot square model of Sitka in 1867, photographs, Russian artifacts, and paintings from all eras.

There are also exhibits on fishing, forestry, tourism and the Alaska Purchase. Also visit the museum gift shop. The museum is open year round by the Sitka Historical Society and is free to the public.
