Koyukuk Community Library, serving an area of 100 residents, has a collection of 2,500 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 66 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes.
Staffing consists of one employee, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $3,200. Patrons make 880 visits annually, and check out materials 2,200 times. Fifty percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
