This archive is housed in a 1940 marble building. This is the oldest state-funded archive in the nation. Included on the site is a museum gallerie and a genelogical research facility. Exhibits focus on early Alabama Indians, military and 19th century galleries, and a hands on Grandma's Attic gallery.
