The Highland Gardens Accelerated School was opened in 1955. It encourages the unique abilities and strengths of every child by providing opportunities to actively participate in an integrated curriculum, stimulating experiences, and developmentally appropriate activities. Classes for kindergarten to 6th grade are held. Counseling, music, reading, and physical education are integrated with the curriculum of core subjects. The school has a library.
