Baptist Montclair opened in 1966 to replace the outgrown Highland Baptist Hospital. Today Baptist Montclair is one of the area's busiest teaching hospitals, providing training for physician residents as well as nurses through the Ida V. Moffett School of Nursing. Baptist Montclair offers programs and services in all medical and surgical areas, including Cardiology, Oncology, Neurology, Mental Health, Geriatrics and Physical Medicine and Rehab. The hospital also houses an inpatient unit for long-term care. Baptist Montclair has 534 licensed beds and approximately 615 physicians (253 active).
