Troy is located south of Montgomery in Pike County (Southeast Region), and just off Hwy 231.
The Pike County Lake is a wonderful stop while visiting the are with many fishing and boating opportunities. There are many local shops in the area for all water activity needs.
The Pike Pioneer Village & Pioneer Museum of Alabama are excellent places for finding the history of the area and viewing many of the exibits and displays of the city.
The city has a higher standard of education at the Troy State University where learning is the "main subject".
