Rosa Parks Library & Museum |
The Rosa Parks Library & Museum opened December 1, 2000. The 7000 square foot museum will contain space for permanent and traveling exhibits as well as a very large multimedia auditorium.
The museum is in the process of building a tribute to Rosa Parks, and the public is invited. Artifacts of all sorts are needed for donations to the museum. Send a description, photograph or photocopy of the artifact you wish to donate. Though not all artifacts will be selected, those that are chosen will honor the donor by including the name and the artifact's description in the display. Donors are asked not to send original materials at this time.
Hours are Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm; Saturdays 9am to 3pm; Sundays closed. The museum will be closed Dec. 15th thru Jan. 2nd for the holidays. Cost - $3.00 for Children 12 and Under; $5.00 for Adults.
