Arkansas State Capitol

The beautiful old statehouse was the capitol from 1836 to 1911. The present capitol building was built in 1911. Construction began in 1899. There is a choice of self guided or audio tours. Exhibits on Arkansas' history, culture and government are open to visitors and change throughout the year.
