This restored bathhouse now serves as the visitor center for
Hot Springs National Park and as a museum for the thermal bathing industry. Stained glass windows and the DeSoto Fountain grace the interior. There is a bookstore and orientation films. Today the park protects eight historic bathhouses with the former luxurious Fordyce Bathhouse housing the park visitor center.
