Mt. Magazine State Park is Arkansas's newest state park and located in the Ozark National Forest atop the state's tallest mountain. The mountaintop park also features hiking trails, overlooks, a pavilion, picnic area with restrooms, visitor center with exhibit gallery and gift shop, and programs hosted by the park interpreter.
Other activities are rock climbing, hang-gliding, biking and horseback riding. Just outside the state park is a multi-use trail in the Ozark National Forest for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding.
The park is located on Scenic Highway 309 approximately 17 miles south of Paris.
