Cache Creek British Columbia

Renowned for its jade carvings, Cache Creek is located north of Ashcroft at the junction of Highway 97 and the Highway 1 (The Transcanada Highway). It was an important stop for gold seekers as they traded goods and stocked up on food and supplies. At historic Hat Creek Ranch there is a preserved roadhouse, established in 1861 to shelter those who traveled the original Cariboo Wagon Road.
