West of
Harrison Hot Springs on
Highway 7 (also known as Sasquatch Drive), is the picturesque community of Harrison Mills. It is known as the "Home of the Bald Eagle" because hundreds of the birds frequent the area from November through April. In spring and summer, the
Harrison River is a fisherman's paradise, with large runs of steelhead, coho and sockeye salmon. Other attractions include skiing the slopes at Hemlock, visiting the Weaver Creek Spawning Channels, and browsing the Kilby General Store Museum at
Kilby Provincial Park on the south side of the river.
