The type of topography found here, known as kame and kettle topography, consists of many hills and depressions, and illustrates a glaciated landscape. There are azure lakes set in grasslands, surrounded by forsts of pine and fir.
The park, located 38 km south of Merritt off Hwy 5A, is open approximately April to October. There are no reservations for any of the 63 campsites. There is a well developed day use area besides.
