The park includes the largest undeveloped watershed in southwestern British Columbia. The Stein Valley encompasses alpine meadows, glaciers, lakes, steep canyons, river tributaries, and wide floodplains. There are significant populations of mountain goats, cougars, grizzly and black bears, mule deer, wolverine, lynx, and marmots. Salmon, dolly varden and rainboat trout can be found in the Stein River.
Access to the park is across Indian Reserve lands north of Lytton. Fees to camp are collected at the park, and there are no reservations.
This is just one of hundreds of British Columbia Provincial Parks.
