This park, located on east-central Quadra Island, is home to a diverse collection of plant and animal species, with more than 72 bird species alone. Other wildlife includes wolves, cougars, owls, bald eagles, hawks, osprey, peregrine falcons and wintering swans. There are also limestone sinkholes and waterfalls.

Wilderness camping is permitted, but there are no facilities. The park is not regularly serviced and visitors are advised to practice "no trace" camping and recreation.
