Reached by a 15-minute BC Ferries ride from Campbell River, Quadra Island, population 2,000 is home to an Indian reservation where old totem poles may be found. In Cape Mudge, 2.2 miles south of the ferry terminal, is the Kwagiulth Museum and Cultural Centre, which displays items used in potlatch, a ceremonial feast of the Indians of the Northwest.
