Newport Beach Recreational Park

Comments: I thought Newport Campground was one of the cleanest parks we had visited. The bathrooms and showers were well maintained. They are one of the only campgrounds that have a marina, so your boat can be docked during your stay. My family and I will be going back.

Comments: When my husband and I checked into this park, we paid for 2 nights. On the second evening we discovered our site had been reserved months in advance by another party, but the park expected us to uproot in dusky to dark conditions and drag our gear clear across the park to another site for the second day. After complaints, we left the park but the staff gave us a song and dance about being unable to refund our money for the second night stay. It turns our a huge party had reserved almost a third of the park in the area we were encamped. You would think the staff would have had a clue here as to occupancy availability. Stay away from this park is what I recommend. They told me their manager didn't have a telephone to get permission to refund my money. How absurb is that - a manager of a business being out of contact with the office?
