|
A peninsula of the southwest British Columbia mainland, the Sechelt Peninsula extends from the town of Sechelt to Earls Cove. It is accessible by road only with the help of BC Ferries, which connects Earls Cove to Saltery Bay on the north and from Gibsons to Horseshoe Bay on the south. The main highway is Highway 101, which travels along the west side of the peninsula facing the Strait of Georgia. The east side of the peninsula faces Sechelt Inlet and is inaccessible by road. In addition to Sechelt, the other major community is Pender Harbour.
