The most northern community of southern Okanagan Similkameen, Summerland offers numerous tours, such as the B.C. Fruit Packers' Packinghouse, Beaven's Orchard Cannery, Sumac Ridge Estate Winery, Summerland Sweets and Arrow Industries. Other attractions include the Federal Agricultural Research Station's Summerland Ornamental Gardens, the Provincial Trout Hatchery, and breathtaking views of the valley and Okanagan Lake from Giant's Head Mountain (once an active volcano).
Summerland maintains an Olde English spirit and even has an official Towne Crier.
