Ehmann Home

The Ehmann Home, known as the "House that Olives Built," was constructed in 1911 for Freda Ehmann, who perfected the ripe olive curing process and earned the national title "Mother of the Ripe Olive Industry." The home now serves as the Butte County Historical Society Headquarters. The home's interiors includes lovely wainscoting, stained glass windows, and furniture that came "Around the Horn." Gifts and historic periodicals may be purchased.
