Located just 26 miles from the Yosemite Village entrance, the historic community of Groveland is the most convenient gateway to this treasured national landmark for tourists coming from the San Francisco Bay area, Sacramento or Stockton and Modesto.
Groveland is also home to the famous Iron Door Saloon, said to be the oldest continuously operating saloon in California.
Groveland is located in Tuolumne County northeast of Merced between Angels Camp and Mariposa along Highway 120 near the Don Pedro and Hetch Hetchy reservoirs.
