Citrus College, celebrating over 85 years of service, is located in
Glendora in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, approximately twenty-five miles northeast of metropolitan Los Angeles. The college has the distinction of being the oldest community college in Los Angeles County and the fifth oldest in the state.
Citrus College was founded in 1915 under the leadership of Dr. Floyd S. Hayden, who helped bring the community college movement to California. The College enrolled 28 students at its inception and currently serves more than 11,000 students.
Citrus offers over 80 programs to the public runninng the gamut from Accounting to Watercraft Repair and award the AA and AS degrees as well as Certificates of Completion.
The College serves the communities of Azusa, Bradbury, Claremont, Duarte, Glendoraand Monrovia.
