Community Memorial Hospital is governed by a 23-member Board of Trustees which operates the hospital as a public trust, without pay, to ensure that citizens of Ventura County receive quality patient care that is rendered with the highest degree of excellence.

All physicians affiliated with Community Memorial Hospital maintain their own practice, and none are employed by the hospital.
