The history of agriculture in
Monterey County is traced by more than 20 exhibits, housed in a barn at the Monterey Co Ag and Rural Life Museum. Other buildings include a restored farmhouse, a schoolhouse from the late nineteenth century, and an 1886 train depot.
Guided tours by appointment. Picnicking areas are available. The museum is open on weekends and the July 4th holiday weekend. The museum is closed New Years Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
