Hall of Health, sponsored by Children's Hospital and Research Center at Oakland, is a community health-education museum and science center dedicated to promoting wellness and individual responsibility for health. Visitors can use the Hall's interactive, hands-on exhibits to learn about the workings of the body, the value of sound diet and exercise, and the destructive effects of smoking and drug abuse. The Hall sponsors special programs and events for families. These include annual health and safety festivals, and monthly Kids on the Block puppet shows on physical, mental, medical, and cultural differences.
