Jogging Park open 5 am-10 pm daily. The new motorized Eagle Express shuttle is now in operation. A boater and wildlife-watcher's paradise, Barr Lake State Park is known as an exceptional wildlife habitat. Bird watchers can spot over 300 species of birds at the park, which is home to the Colorado Bird Observatory and an important Colorado wildlife refuge. Visitors can watch the birds from the comfort of a lakeside gazebo or boat and fish the northeast end of the lake. Red fox and deer are just some of the other wildlife that call Barr Lake State Park home. Barr Lake State Park is ideal for non-motorized activities. Motorboats with 10 horsepower or less are allowed on the lake, which allows the park to offer a peaceful, relaxing haven for visitors to enjoy sailing and canoeing in calm waters, and the fishing is exceptional.
