This large suburb is located northeast of Denver on Highway 85 along the banks of the South Platte River. One of Brighton's most popular attractions is the Murray Maize Maze, an outdoor corn maze designed in the shape of a bear and two wolves, featuring 15 acres of corn and four mles of trails. Brighton's Barr Lake State Park offers wildlife watching, horseback riding, guided programs and much more. The park is home to over 300 species of birds, and visitors can view these winged wonders at the Colorado Bird Observatory. Brighton is part of the Denver, Colorado metro area.
