Visitors come to the resort town of Dillon to enjoy the year-round recreation opportunities for water sports provided by 26 miles of shoreline. Dillon is also near several popular ski areas.The town is situated amid the scenic lands of the Arapaho National Forest and White River National Forest, where other types of outdoor activities can by accessed. The Summit Historical Museum complex features an 1883 schoolhouse, 1885 ranch house, and a cabin from the 1930s. Dillon is located just west of Denver on I-70.
