Canton Connecticut

Canton is located in Hartford County northeast of Hartford between Avon and Canton Center along Highway 202 near Nepaug Reservoir. Nepaug State Forest is nearby.

Canton is named after the province in China. Antique homes and rustic barns are visible throughout the four villages that comprise Canton.

Founded in 1806 as a quaint slice of New England in the maple-lined hills of the Farmington River Valley.

Local attractions include: Nepaug Reservoir, Nepaug State Forest, Massacoe State Forest, Stratton Brook State Park, Penwood State Park, and Talcott Mountain State Park.
