East Windsor is located in
Hartford County north of
Hartford between
Windsor and
Enfield along Interstate 91 on the banks of the
Connecticut River near the Massachussetts state line.
East Windsor was originally settled by farmers in the 17th Century. They were drawn by the even topography and fertile soils of the Connecticut River Valley. Comprised of five villages, Broad Brook, Melrose, Scantic, Warehouse Point and Windsorville.
Local attractions include: Dr. John E. Flaherty Field Trial Area, Broad Brook Millpond, Scantic River, Windsorville Pond, Sadds Mill Pond, and the Podunk River.
