Gateway Community College is located on two campuses, the Long Wharf Campus in New Haven and the North Haven Campus. The college offers over 70 academic programs or program options that lead to either associate in arts (AA), associate in science (AS), or associate in applied science degrees (AAS), or certificates. The degree programs may be transferred to 4-year institutions toward baccalaureate degrees. Continuing Education programs for credit or non-credit are also available.
The less formal academic setting of the community college acts as a less threatening preparation for young students in need of academic nurturing, counseling, tutoring and guidance before enrolling in an educational setting requiring more self-sufficiency and focus.
The 2-year community college experience is also a less expensive way to complete the first two years of a four year study program.
