Founded in 1893, this university provides 115 undergraduate and graduate degree programs in the full range of academic and professional disciplines. It is part of the Connecticut State University system. There are 5 undergraduate and 6 graduate schools. Student/faculty ratio is 15:1 About half of the 12,000-plus enrollment are full-time undergraduates. The 168-acre campus is in an urban area 35 miles south of
Hartford and 90 miles from New York City. Including residence halls, there are 28 buildings, some of which are historic.
