Blackwater River State Park

This 590-acre state park is highlighted by the Blackwater River, considered to be one of the purest sandbottom rivers in the world, and provides a perfect setting for a long list of outstanding recreational opportunities. The river is designated as a Florida canoe trail and attracts many paddlers; the last 2 miles of the trail are located within the park.

Other recreation includes full-facility camping, boating and a boat ramp, swimming, picnicking, hiking, and fishing. Three nature trails offer views of the diverse plants and wildlife found here; guided walks and campfire programs are offered seasonally. A visitors center is also located within the park. Blackwater River state Park is located 15 miles northeast of Milton off Hwy 90.
