Explore 400 years of history in the 'Oldest House' in St Augustine. Continuously occupied since it was built circa 1560, the Spanish coquina ('little shell') walls were built soon after the British burned the town in 1702. Occupants from the early 1700s-1800s include both British and American families; the St. Augustine Historical Society acquired the property in 1918.

The house is now a National Historic Landmark; ornamental gardens contain plants typical of those grown by its former Spanish, British and American occupants and an on-site Museum presents the dramatic 400-year history of St. Augustine. Open daily; guided tours available.
