Elbert Memorial Hospital

Last year EMH celebrated 50 years in providing quality health care for the people of Elbert County and the surrounding community. They are a not-for-profit, 52-bed acute care facility offering inpatient care and a full range of surgical and outpatient services. The Medical Staff and highly trained professionals combined with state-of-the-art equipment and the most recent technology ensure excellent healthcare services today and in the future. The hospital is governed by the Elberton-Elbert County Hospital Authority.

Elbert Memorial Hospital has a dedicated staff made up of 200 employees making the hospital the fourth largest employer in Elbert County. EMH contributed over $32 million to the local economy in 1999 and provides over $600,000 in indigent care.
