Okefenokee Swamp Park

Located off Hwy 177, this 1,600 acre wildlife sanctuary on Cowhouse Island is the northern entrance to the Okefenokee Swamp. The park features flower gardens, a wilderness walkway, an observation tower, educational centers with exhibits about the swamp and native animals and birds. Optional guided boat tours and conoe rentals offer closer looks at plants and wildlife in the swamp's recesses.
